FACEIT has announced the invites for the Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 4 Development Leagues in Europe and North America.

PGL Major Krakow champions Gambit, North, Space Soldiers and HEROIC are the teams invited to compete in the European Development League, while Complexity, Tempo Storm, Rise Nation and Misfits have all earned invites to the North American competition.

These invited sides will join the top teams from the online qualifiers, which came to an end on Thursday, in a best-of-two round robin stage, running from August 29 to September 20.

Gambit will fight for a spot in ECS via the Development League

After the end of this stage, the top two teams in both regions will advance to a decisive promotion stage, in which they will lock horns with the bottom sides from ECS Season 3 in a best-of-five encounter. In Europe, Virtus.pro and Dignitas will fight to retain their spots in ECS, while in North America, Luminosity and Ghost both face the threat of elimination.
